Yoga Desire would particularly like to thank Amelia, Gudu, Cissy, Shontae, Stan, Ella, Barry and Doone from Mowanjum Arts for their special part in bringing Kimberley Yoga Attire to life during 2019 & 2020. We support Mowanjum Arts as they continue to raise the profile of Aboriginal Artists and Culture in the Kimberley. We continue to be the best allies we can and stay in touch with our friends in Mowanjum.
We would also like to thank all the yogi's around Australia and the World who supported the Kimberley Yoga Attire project by purchasing a pair of Amelia Hurrell Salt Water Leggings and/or Gudu Mungulu Sugarbag Leggings.
Mowanjum Arts is a 100% Aboriginal owned art centre and creative hub for the Worrorra, Ngarinyin and Wunumbal tribes, who make up the Mowanjum community outside Derby, Western Australia. Yoga Leggings, other Aboriginal Apparel & Art Work are available through the Mowanjum Arts Website.
Yoga Desire acknowledges the care takers of this land, the Traditional Owners of country, throughout Australia and recognise their continuing connection to earth, waters and culture. We also honour the ancient traditions of Yoga and Meditation of which we feel privileged to learn about, practice and share. We choose to practice Yoga & Meditation in a way that is gentle and kind in respect of ourselves, others and the Aboriginal Land that we live, work and play on.
