Mini Yoga Retreat

Give yourself the pre-Christmas gift of attending to yourself and indulging in a half day of nourishing yoga & food at our humble little studio sanctuary in Derby.

Sunday 8th December 8:30am - 2pm at the Yoga Desire Studio

Nourishing Yoga

Taryn & Jono will guide you through a full half day of yoga that is nurturing, gentle, kind and suitable for all abilities. The slow and steady pace of our yoga will allow you time to truly be with yourself by lowering your heart rate and allowing the relaxation response to kick in, calming the nervous system.

Nourishing Food

Taryn & Jono prepare all their delicious and nutritious food from scratch out of a commercial kitchen and focus on homegrown, seasonal and local produce where they can in their cooking. Our vegetarian meals are hearty & healthy yet easily digestible, nourishing you from the inside out.

Studio Sanctuary

Our humble little Yoga Desire studio is located at 45 Clarendon Street, Shop 4, Derby Central Arcade (across  rom IGA) in the heart of Derby town. We have created a safe & sacred sanctuary where you can retreat from the distractions and reminders of day to day life & immerse in "me" time.

"The yoga, food and atmosphere were all perfect"

Thank you so much for all that you provided. The yoga, food and atmosphere were all perfect. Your attention to detail and all the small touches didn't go un-noticed. I hope you can both keep providing this experience to the Kimberley people. Thank you both again.

A little bit about us

Hi! We are Taz & Jono

We have been living in Derby in far Northern WA for approximately 6 years and we opened the YD Studio in September of 2017. The Kimberley is our home.

Our Sankalpa (intention) is Yoga Desire. We have the desire to bring the tools of Yoga and Meditation to Remote Australia. Our mission is to make yoga accessible, inclusive and approachable for every body who comes along to our offerings.

Yoga Desire acknowledges the Traditional Owners of country throughout Australia and recognise their continuing connection to land, waters and culture. We pay our respects to their Elders past, present and emerging & recognise Derby, the place where we run our yoga studio as a place of cultural significance for many Aboriginal people. We choose to practice Yoga & Meditation in a way that is gentle and kind in respect of ourselves, others and the Aboriginal Land that we stand on.
